CruvyCruvy’s app stores your library locally. No account is required, and your journal is not sent to a Cruvy server. Sharing and backup exports are actions you control.
1. Who and what this covers
This Privacy Policy describes the current Cruvy iPhone app, this informational website, and communications you choose to send to support. Cruvy is provided by Shandong Wumeiyan Culture Media Co., Ltd. (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
The app is an offline cruise planner and personal travel journal. It does not require an account and does not include an advertising SDK, analytics SDK, social network, or backend service for your library.
2. Information on your device
Cruvy processes the information you add so it can provide the features you choose:
- Travel plans: voyage names, ship names, departure ports, dates, day descriptions, activities, places, and notes.
- Packing lists: item names, categories, and completion states.
- Journal content: text, manually entered places and dates, selected photo copies, and drafts.
- Local preferences: settings needed to operate the app, such as whether you have completed the welcome screen.
This library is stored in Cruvy’s local app storage. The app does not transmit your plans, journal entries, or photos to us, and we cannot access your local library through a server. Places are entered manually; Cruvy does not request GPS location access.
3. Photos and permissions
The system photo picker provides Cruvy with the photos you choose. The app saves reduced-size copies for your journal or voyage cover and re-encodes imported images without the original image metadata. The visible content of a photo may still reveal personal information.
Camera permission is requested when you choose to take a photo. Permission to add to Photos is requested if you use a save-to-Photos feature that requires it. You can review or revoke available permissions in iPhone Settings. Declining a permission does not prevent you from using unrelated planning and writing features.
Removing an imported image or journal entry in Cruvy does not delete the original image in your Photos library. A photo copy used by another Cruvy record remains while that record needs it.
5. Retention and deletion
Your saved records remain locally until you delete them, replace the library through restore, or delete the app. Drafts can remain until you save or discard them. Unreferenced photo copies are cleaned up by the app; a photo referenced by another record is retained.
You can delete voyages and journal entries through their in-app controls. Deleting a voyage preserves its journal entries and removes their association with that voyage. Delete those entries separately if you also want to remove them.
Deleting the app removes its local library; offloading the app may retain documents and data. Copies in device backups, Files, Photos, or services you shared to must be managed separately. We cannot recover a deleted local library from a Cruvy server. Export a backup before deleting the app if you wish to keep your records.
6. This website and support
This website does not include analytics, advertising trackers, embedded social widgets, or a contact form. Its own code does not set cookies or store visitor identifiers. Images, styles, and scripts are served with the website rather than loaded from third-party marketing services.
When you visit a hosted website, the hosting provider necessarily processes connection information such as your IP address and requested resource to deliver the page, and may maintain operational or security logs. Hosting practices depend on the provider used to publish this site.
If you email us, we receive your email address and any information you include. We use that information to respond, investigate the issue, and meet applicable legal obligations. Support messages may be processed by our email provider and retained only as needed for those purposes. Please do not send your entire journal, backup, travel documents, or sensitive photos unless necessary for a specific support request.
We do not sell your personal information or use your journal content for advertising.
7. Your choices and requests
You control what you enter, the photos you select, app permissions, and what you share or export. There is no Cruvy account to close.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of personal information we hold, or to complain to a privacy regulator. For information you have sent to support, contact us using the details below. We cannot identify or retrieve content that exists only in your local app storage.
8. Children’s privacy
Cruvy is not specifically directed to children. We do not knowingly request personal information from children through this website or support. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent us personal information can contact us to request its removal, subject to applicable law.
9. Changes to this policy
We will update this page and its effective date when our practices change. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law. This policy describes the current offline app; any future feature that changes how information is processed will require an updated explanation.
